Business Development Manager (Applications Sales Engineer)
Job Description
Linde is seeking a Regional Business Development Manager (Applications Sales Engineer) for the West Region. This on-site role in Denver, CO collaborates with regional sales to identify, develop and sign new business opportunities by leveraging technical expertise and Linde technologies. The position offers a salary range of $88,875 to $130,350 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees and their families.
This role requires travel of 50 percent or more, relocation to Seattle, WA before starting, and the ability to commute to Seattle as needed. The successful candidate will work with internal partners across sales, Linde Technology, National BD, applications equipment, and customer service to maximize outcomes while delivering value to customers in the West Region.
Responsibilities
- Acquire new and grow existing customers in designated territory.
- Prospecting, lead generation and qualification activities.
- Market and customer strategy development.
- Business case development and analysis.
- Proposal development and technology pricing recommendations.
- Sales technical support.
- Projects implementation and start-up oversight.
- Drive profitable sales growth aligned with regional and national objectives.
- Identify, research and analyze likely markets or niches.
- Monitor regional and local economic/project activity and competitive landscape.
- Initiate and implement market initiatives, growth campaigns and customer communications.
- Formulate appropriate response strategies to competitive activity.
- Understand financial, customer, internal operations, competitive advantages and Linde technology portfolio value.
- Establish and grow relationships with potential customers, industry consultants and vendors.
- Collaborate with internal partners including sales, Linde Technology, National BD, applications equipment and customer service personnel.
- Leverage all available Linde resources to achieve goals.
- Participate with other business development and sales personnel in developing sales strategies.
Requirements
- BS Degree, engineering or technical focus highly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience, ideally in technical sales within a relevant industry.
- Ability to travel over 50% is required.
- Proven track record of acquiring and growing a customer base, resilience and results-driven performance.
