Job Description

Genuine Search Group is seeking a Civil Engineer for an onsite role in Cincinnati, Ohio, with a salary range of USD 90,000 to 140,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret reports, maps, drawings, test results, aerial imagery, and geotechnical and hydrologic data to inform planning and design decisions.
  • Create and refine schematic design concepts and advance designs through construction documentation.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary design efforts with other engineering and design teams.
  • Lead project staff to meet budget, schedule, and quality goals.
  • Prepare design sketches and drawings for inclusion in final project plans.
  • Mentor technical staff converting concepts and calculations into construction-ready drawings.
  • Perform and review calculations for storm sewers, detention systems, site stormwater BMPs, and sanitary sewer systems.
  • Utilize engineering software and spreadsheets to analyze, design, and present results.
  • Choose suitable details, general notes, and outline specifications for project documentation.
  • Act as liaison with municipal, state, and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain continuous client communications during and after project delivery.
  • Offer daily technical guidance and troubleshooting support to project teams.
  • Early identify challenges and develop practical, cost-effective solutions, including value engineering.
  • Ensure plan accuracy, quality, and constructability.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Attend construction meetings and prepare site observation reports.
  • Support business development and client relationship activities where appropriate.
  • Engage with professional organizations aligned with firm goals.
  • Assist in preparing and administering client contracts and maintain knowledge of contractual requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio
  • At least seven years of experience in land development engineering
  • Solid knowledge of local, state, and federal codes and regulations
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and project teams simultaneously
  • Proficiency with engineering software and related computer systems for project design and management
  • Excellent communication, leadership, planning, teamwork, decision making, and problem-solving abilities
  • Eager to continue learning, grow professionally, and contribute in a fast-paced, collaborative design environment
