Electrical Component Engineer / Electrical Engineer
Job Description
This Electrical Component Engineer role on the Lockheed Martin Space FBM TMK2 Program is based in Englewood, CO, onsite, overseeing Electrical Component (Parts) Engineering and EEE Parts management, evaluating new technologies and coordinating with survivability, designers, test and manufacturing engineers, as well as with agencies such as DLA, Part Manufacturers and Test Labs to ensure EEE parts meet harsh-environment and mission requirements.
Responsibilities
- Participate in Electrical / Electronic / Electromechanical (EEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware design, manufacture and test
- Participate in the selection, qualification, test and failure analysis of EEE Parts
- Prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports
- Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain organization
- Work on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits (ICs), hybrids, crystals, crystal oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, thermistors
- Travel and work closely with suppliers and government agencies to ensure electronic component selections meet both quality expectations and product performance requirements
Requirements
- Experience and/or knowledge in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and circuits, operation of devices such as relays, hybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes and capacitors
- Knowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials and processes used in EEE parts
- Willingness/eligibility to obtain/maintain Secret security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required
