Embedded Software Engineer

Embedded Software Engineer at Bosch Automotive Service Solutions in Owatonna, MN (onsite), where you will develop and support embedded software that runs on, or works with, electronic devices. This role combines hands-on software engineering with real-world production support, collaborating with multiple departments in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Develop cutting-edge embedded software using C++, C#, Java, and/or Android
• Contribute to software architecture and design for new products
• Participate in design reviews and code reviews while following software development best practices
• Provide system-wide problem-solving, solutions, and production support
• Support hardware bring-up activities, including board troubleshooting, device driver development, and automated software builds
• Seek out and engage in personal development opportunities
• Build and share a knowledge base around latest technologies, industry standardization, and engineering best practices
• Collaborate with multiple departments across a manufacturing facility

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical field (required)
• 3+ years of experience developing software and delivering to a production environment
• 3+ years using C++, C#, and/or Java
• Proven technical communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts verbally and in writing
• Full stack development experience on Android and/or Linux
• Ability to learn from teammates and adopt best-in-class industry standards

Compensation and benefits

Salary: USD 82,000 - 116,000 per year.
