Hotel Chief Engineer

Hyannis Harbor Hotel is seeking a Hotel Chief Engineer to lead maintenance and engineering operations across multiple properties on Cape Cod, including locations in Hyannis and Yarmouth. This onsite role focuses on keeping facilities running efficiently, safely, and sustainably, while strengthening preventive maintenance and supporting seasonal openings and closings.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee engineering teams across multiple hotel properties, promoting a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Manage and maintain facilities systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment, to support optimal performance.
• Develop and implement project management plans for repairs, upgrades, and new installations while following safety standards and budget constraints.
• Bring experience working with pools (CPO certification is not required, but helpful).
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors supporting projects across all properties.
• Work closely with property General Managers, the Corporate Project Manager, and the Regional Operation Manager.

Required Qualifications

• Proven management experience in facilities or industrial maintenance within the hospitality or manufacturing sectors.
• Extensive supervisory experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC systems, electrical troubleshooting, and hotel maintenance practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English to lead teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to electrical work and general facilities management.

Compensation and Work Location

Salary: USD 90,000 to 105,000 per year.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year.

Work location: In person at Hyannis, MA (onsite).

Note on schedule: The role supports seasonal openings and closings.
