Intermediate Software Engineer
Job Description
Cornell Pump Company LLC is seeking an on-site Intermediate Software Engineer to join our Clackamas, Oregon team. This role centers on building APIs, database infrastructure, and user interfaces for cloud-based software products, collaborating across ERP systems, IoT telemetry, and manufacturing and sales data to support product development and operations. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer/Electrical Engineering (or related fields) and at least four years of relevant experience are expected.

- Salary: USD 80,000 - 100,000 per year
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer/Electrical Engineering or related fields

Responsibilities
- Develop features and bug fixes for various software projects and products
- Maintain development standards and style guidelines as documented or directed by the Software Manager and/or Senior Software Engineers
- Identify and report bugs in existing solutions and deployed code
- Assess gaps in feature implementation and propose improvements to software processes
- Track work and keep feature tickets current using the team Jira workflow
- Review feature pull requests with a focus on code efficacy, maintainability, and core functionality
- Assist with feature design and documentation under supervision of the Software Manager and/or Senior Software Engineer(s)
- Contribute to Ruby on Rails development; learn Rails on the job and maintain and improve an existing Rails codebase as part of the role
- Occasionally assist with major production issues outside regular hours
