IT Support Engineer I
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Triages and resolves customer issues by following approved standard operating procedures
- Provisions, deploys, and troubleshoots Windows, Linux, and maxOS workstations
- Provisions, deploys, and troubleshoots bare-metal Windows and Linux servers
- Configures, deploys, and replaces network infrastructure including switches, routers, and firewalls
- Participates in hiring, training, and development of colleagues
- Provides technical support for Amazon Leo Production, lab and launch infrastructure, components, and associated software
- Delivers remote support for Amazon Leo employees and infrastructure worldwide
- Performs scheduled maintenance and system upgrades
- Assists with project implementations and technology deployments
- Promotes engineering best practices such as Operational Excellence, Security, and Quality, and helps set standards
- Participates in on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of technical support experience
- 2+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience

A Day in the Life
Each day begins with reviewing critical incidents to set priorities, then joining the team stand-up to align on production-focused work. You will address tickets tied to production and projects, drive deployments, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule. The role calls for building relationships with production teams, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring stability and standardization across operations. A strong emphasis on operational excellence and customer-focused service drives the delivery of best-in-class support for the mission-critical environment.
