IT Support Engineer I, OTS Support
Job Description
As an IT Support Engineer I in OpsTech IT, you will provide technical support for computer hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software while contributing to network engineering, infrastructure availability, and local IT projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, troubleshoot, and support network infrastructure, data cabling, and systems administration across a diverse mix of software and hardware platforms.
- Maintain high availability of networking and computing systems during production hours to minimize downtime and performance issues.
- Collaborate with management and staff to deliver analytical insights and technical guidance that drive continuous IT solution improvements.
- Plan and oversee local IT projects, coordinating resources, timelines, and deliverables to meet business needs.
- Develop or update policies, procedures, and operational processes to standardize IT workflows.
- Identify root causes of operational issues and inefficiencies in processes, proposing and implementing corrective actions.
- Handle physical workload including lifting up to 49 pounds and remaining on feet or walking for shifts that can run up to 12 hours.
- Travel up to 25 percent of the time to support remote sites or deployments.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with Windows Server technologies, including Active Directory, DFS, Print Services, and SCCM.
- At least 2 years of troubleshooting experience in a multi-user, high-availability environment.
- Two or more years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation (decommissioning) experience.
- Minimum 1 year delivering IT client, server, and network services in a production environment.
- At least 2 years of networking experience covering DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI model, and TCP/IP.
- Over 2 years of corporate environment support for Windows, macOS, or Linux operating systems.
- More than 2 years maintaining and supporting a corporate network environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
