Lead Full Stack Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Interface regularly with project managers and customers, using strong communication and collaboration to keep technical work aligned to stakeholder needs.
• Collaborate with end-user Analysts, Systems Engineers, and Software Engineers to plan, design, and develop complex electronic data processing systems that deliver value to the Intelligence Community.
• Implement and iterate on software solutions using a fast-paced Agile methodology, continuously enhancing capabilities.
• Build with modern frameworks and tools including Java, Spring Boot/Spring Framework, Angular/TypeScript, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, and more.
• Use CI/CD tooling such as GitLab and GitLab Pipelines to build, test, and integrate software efficiently and accurately.

Requirements

• Experience level: 8+ years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, or 3 years with PhD.
• Additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Top Secret/SCI Clearance with CI poly (active/current). U.S. Citizenship required.
• Experience defining technical roadmaps, planning resources, and aligning engineering tasks with customer goals.
• Back-end development experience with Java using Spring/Spring Boot.
• Front-end skills including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js).
• Hands-on database experience with MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.
• Experience with GitLab capabilities including Pipelines, Automated CI/CD, SonarQube, SAST, Code Scanning, NexusIQ, and Dependency Scanning.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with containerized systems and CI/CD pipelines DevOps practices.
• Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Preferred / Desired Qualifications

• Understanding of systems engineering principles and documentation.
• Kubernetes (RKE/RKE2), Docker, and Helm.
• Experience with messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ (or similar).
• Knowledge of PKI authentication/certificates, Keycloak, and OIDC.
• Experience with observability tools including Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, and Alert Managers.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence), plus Cucumber/Selenium.
• Experience with Java 17, JUnit 5, and Mockito.
