Job Description

In this role, you will lead the technical direction for external integrations via API and SFTP and oversee internal applications, utilizing Java and AWS within an Agile IT product team. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to medium, large, and portfolio projects involving external customer and vendor integrations and internal utility applications
  • Design integration based services for cloud and on-prem environments
  • Engage internal and external customers to understand integration and interface needs
  • Collaborate with outside vendors to establish technical requirements and standards for product development
  • Partner with the product owner to define scope, objectives and deliverables
  • Coordinate with various IT and business functions as part of project collaboration
  • Maintain effective problem solving, multi-tasking, and scheduling aligned with the Project Plan to ensure visibility and predictability
  • Provide support and maintenance for existing systems in the Customer Solutions Integrations area
  • Leverage AI tools where appropriate to improve speed and efficiency
  • Guide and lead other developers, including a Managed-Service team with offshore members
  • Perform code reviews and collaborate with peers on design and implementation
  • Use code management, defect tracking, and ticketing tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field
  • 7+ years of hands-on Java and enterprise-grade application development
  • 7+ years designing and building solutions on AWS, including Lambda, Step Functions, and Spring Boot microservices
  • 5+ years of experience with application performance monitoring and observability platforms for monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning
  • Proven experience developing and supporting external APIs and integration methods (SFTP, etc.) using AWS native technologies
  • Demonstrated use of AI-assisted tools to accelerate research, troubleshooting, and solution design
