Job Description

The Multimedia Software Engineer will support multimedia integration and safety monitoring work for the AMD iRDK platform as part of the Ok2Book proof of concept, with ownership spanning camera and audio bringup as well as safety monitor subsystem integration and validation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support safety monitor subsystem integration and multimedia bringup, including audio and camera, for the AMD iRDK platform as part of the Ok2Book proof of concept.
  • Integrate and validate the safety monitor subsystem on the AMD iRDK platform, including watchdog, error detection, and FTTI.
  • Own camera subsystem bringup, covering MIPI CSI-2, ISP integration, V4L2, camera HAL, and frame capture validation.
  • Own audio subsystem bringup, covering codec integration, ALSA, audio HAL, and latency measurement.
  • Interface with AMD on safety and multimedia driver support.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with multimedia subsystem integration and validation.
  • Knowledge of camera interfaces and components, including MIPI CSI-2, ISP, V4L2, and camera HAL.
  • Proficiency in audio subsystem development, including codec integration, ALSA, and audio HAL.
  • Strong understanding of safety monitor systems, including watchdogs and error detection mechanisms.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with AMD and internal teams.
