This is a full-time, on-site role in Fort Wayne, IN with a salary range of $70,000 to $95,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Carry out design calculations, geometric design, modeling and plan production for roadway projects, including traffic control staging plans, signing, pavement markings, erosion control, quantities, engineers' estimates, and contract specifications.
• Contribute to transportation design tasks on multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional project teams.
• Prepare project reports and technical memoranda.
• Present and discuss project concepts and plans with clients and the public.
• Perform quality control reviews.
• Support business development efforts and build client relationships.
• Contribute to the growth of the transportation group.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• 2+ years leading transportation project tasks
• Familiarity with INDOT design preferred
• Experience with Bentley MicroStation, OpenRoads, and Autodesk Civil 3D products
• DOT and/or local municipal transportation design experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of transportation engineering design for urban and rural freeways
