Responsibilities

• Architect the platform: lead design and development of features and services for the travel platform on a full‑stack product team as a technical leader.
• Drive agentic adoption: standardize agentic coding tools across engineering teams by establishing best practices, prompt libraries, and workflows that boost productivity org-wide.
• Set the quality bar: review AI generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability to set the standard across teams.
• Modernize at scale: rejuvenate aging services through refactoring, migrations, and cloud-native distributed design.
• Strategize agentic workflows: define patterns and platforms that automate testing, documentation, code review triage, and deployment checks at scale.
• Architect MCP integrations: design Model Context Protocol integrations that connect AI agents to internal tools, data, and platform services across the development lifecycle.
• Lead distributed systems: drive improvements to the development and operations of a increasingly distributed architecture across cloud platforms.
• Protect member trust: safeguard the privacy and security of members' sensitive data in collaboration with Risk and Security teams.
• Increase velocity: introduce processes that enable faster shipping, quicker learning, and clearer impact isolation, while helping establish and meet system SLOs.
• Mentor across teams: guide engineers in AI assisted development, prompt engineering, and agentic workflow design.

Requirements

• 8+ years of full‑stack development and architectural experience building web applications and services.
• Expert proficiency using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot in professional workflows.
• Strong proficiency in two or more of TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or C#/.NET.
• Deep experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue, or Angular.
• A proven track record architecting and delivering cloud‑native solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Extensive experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Deep understanding of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and experience architecting MCP server ecosystems.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• A history of leading technical designs, mentoring engineers across teams, and raising engineering maturity.
• A formal CS degree is a plus, not a requirement. Depth of engineering knowledge matters most.
