Job Description

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will lead municipal infrastructure and land development projects while collaborating with colleagues and mentoring future division talent. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review stormwater management designs, calculations, and reports.
  • Design storm drainage, roadway, and site improvements.
  • Oversee DEP permitting activities, including NPDES, joint permits, and general permits.
  • Conduct floodplain analyses.
  • Develop site grading plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and related cost estimates.
  • Create technical specifications, bid packages, and construction-phase documentation.
  • Perform technical review and QA/QC on design documents and reports.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and reliable technical guidance.
  • Mentor junior staff and support the ongoing development of the Civil Engineering Division.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s a plus).
  • 10+ years of experience in civil/site design and municipal engineering.
  • Pennsylvania Professional Engineer (PE) license (required).
  • Strong technical background in stormwater management and hydrologic/hydraulic design, plus experience with DEP permitting and site grading, roadway, and utility design.
  • Experience with cost estimating, specifications, and construction-phase coordination.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work.
  • Collaborative approach with a commitment to mentoring staff and supporting trusted client relationships.
