Senior Structural Engineer

VN Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design, development, and execution of complex structural projects within the Structural Group along the East Coast. The position demands strong technical leadership, advanced engineering judgment, and a proven history of delivering high-quality structural solutions.

Location

Hybrid remote in Coconut Creek, FL

Compensation

USD 120,000 - 160,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Direct the structural design and technical development of projects from concept through completion.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide expert technical guidance.
• Assess and validate engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, clients, and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance engineering efficiency.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and cost management activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's degree preferred
• Ten or more years of relevant engineering experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Effective communication skills and demonstrated leadership
• Experience guiding engineering teams on complex technical initiatives
• Proficiency with applicable engineering software and tools: LARSA, MIDAS, CSi Bridge, MDX, Bentely Product Line
