Job Description

Collins Aerospace Mission Systems in Cedar Rapids, IA offers an entry level software engineering role onsite that focuses on embedded software, networking, and secure communications. The position provides a clear path for growth, mentorship, and hands-on experience, with a salary range of USD 57,200 to 108,800 per year. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance; a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is required prior to start.

Responsibilities

  • Develop cutting edge embedded software, networking and communication products in C/C++ and Rust
  • Support project success by collaborating on requirements, implementation, test development, and certification
  • Support initiatives and work as part of a team
  • Help make decisions for your team, including cost, schedule, and technical performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained prior to start
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Some experience with embedded software development
  • Some experience with C/C++, Rust, or Python programming languages
