Software Engineer
Job Description
The Software Engineer role supports the B-1b/B-52 software team at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma City, focusing on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining operational flight software and subsystem models. The position requires an active Secret clearance and onsite work.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, test, and sustain software system and subsystem engineering models across the full lifecycle using Jira, aligning with industry, customer, and safety requirements.
- Interpret and translate customer requirements and technical specifications for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with a diverse engineering team to design, develop, and deploy operational flight software used to monitor and test the system.
- Create, maintain, enhance, and optimize system and subsystem components and functionalities for system integrations.
- Serve as a system and subsystem resource to teammates, assisting with debugging to ensure software reliability and efficiency.
Requirements
- Ability to code in C and/or ADA
- Embedded software design experience preferred
- Experience with Jira
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 9 years of relevant engineering experience
