Software Engineer

Que Technology Group, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to support daily operations and partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex issues while sustaining high system availability. This onsite role is based in Fort Meade, MD and includes application development, deployment, and technical support across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Python.
• Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications with Docker.
• Design and optimize database solutions using MongoDB.
• Use Git to collaborate with team members, including supporting code reviews and version control workflows.
• Support CI/CD processes and participate across the full software development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to the team.
• Provide onsite technical support by diagnosing and resolving issues across hardware, applications, and user environments.
• Perform system administration tasks as needed to maintain operational stability across multiple locations.
• Manage and execute deployments to production sites, including pushing new software versions, validating successful rollouts, and minimizing disruption to business operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus Seven (7) years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Alternate option: Four (4) years of additional Software Engineer experience on projects with similar software processes may substitute for the bachelor’s degree, evaluated case-by-case.
• Proficiency in Python, Docker, and MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience with JavaScript for UI development using Angular2 and/or React.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to tools such as Ansible, JIRA, Bitbucket, and Terraform.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Zabbix development experience.
• Scripting experience involving Python, Java, CSC, and Linux environments.
