Software Engineer (Backend Developer)

Responsibilities

• Decompose higher-level roadmap features into actionable work items
• Design, implement, and test software features and integrate them into systems
• Perform peer reviews for fellow software engineers and debug issues as they arise
• Participate in technical discussions to define and address overarching software architecture needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional peers to understand project requirements and stakeholder needs

Requirements

• Experience or familiarity with Rust (or C), Python, Java
• Exposure to backend containerization concepts using Docker
• Exposure or familiarity with gRPC for framework development
• Knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle and direct experience in some stages
• 1+ years of relevant work experience or an advanced degree in Computer Science

Work arrangement

Location: Colorado Springs, CO, with hybrid work options. Part-time remote telework is available, with part of the schedule conducted remotely and part at a Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. The position follows a 4x10 hour day, three days off per week shift.

Salary

Annual base salary range: $76,500 to $134,895.

Security and eligibility

This position requires a government security clearance and US citizenship for consideration. Clearance level: Secret.
