Software Engineer (C Programming, GPA >= 3.9)

VOCAL Technologies Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer with strong C and C++ skills to join its telecommunications-focused team in Amherst, New York. The position emphasizes designing, implementing, maintaining, and testing software solutions and tools while engaging with customers to ensure their needs are met. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required, and the ability to obtain security clearance is essential; a GPA of 3.9 or higher is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to craft solutions that meet and exceed expectations.
• Design and implement software solutions addressing telecommunications challenges.
• Maintain and improve existing software systems.
• Code and test software modules of significant size and complexity.
• Create software tools to assist in code building and maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Must be able to obtain Security Clearance.
• Familiarity with C/C++ programming languages.
• GPA of 3.9 or higher preferred.
