Job Description
Qualcomm Software Engineer roles focus on building embedded and cloud edge software while partnering across systems, hardware, architecture, and test teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs
- Build software that supports cutting-edge product releases and helps meet and exceed customer requirements
- Work with systems, hardware, architecture, and test engineers to shape system-level software solutions
- Gather and apply performance requirements and understand interfaces needed for system integration
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- Excellent coding and debugging skills in C/C++
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Experience with object-oriented analysis and design (OOA and OOD)
- Good knowledge of design patterns
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Development experience in Windows/Linux environments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
- Understanding of multi-threading and concurrency
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate as a team player
- Web development skills: Electron, React, Angular, Node.js
- Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD processes
- Development experience with USB drivers; libusb knowledge is a plus
- AI programming and large language models (LLMs)

Location: San Diego, CA (onsite)
Compensation: USD 99,500 - 149,300 per year. Salary is one component of total compensation. Annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants are also available. Employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for the annual bonus.
