Job Description
Costco Auto Program offers a mid-level opportunity for engineers in a hands-on environment focused on building and supporting systems-level software. This onsite role in San Diego, CA pairs engineering work with production support and cross-team coordination, helping you contribute from design through deployment.
Compensation: USD 123,000 - 130,000 per year.
What you’ll do
- Partner directly with the client to create engineering specifications.
- Flow chart program logic and produce system design documentation.
- Collaborate with database administrators and database analysts to develop and design database tables and stored procedures.
- Debug system code, including code written by other programmers.
- Provide support for deployment and software configuration.
- Investigate and resolve production issues in the system.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to manage project timelines.
- Assist with mentoring programmers to improve competency levels.
- Maintain current knowledge of new software technologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you bring
- 5+ years experience with C# .NET programming (Visual Studio 2005 or greater).
- 2+ years experience with ASP/ASP.NET.
- Fluency in JavaScript, VB, VBScript, and HTML.
- 2+ years experience with XML.
- 2+ years development experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Scrum Agile Methodology experience.
- Experience with Team Foundation Server.
- Unit Testing / Test-Driven Development experience.
- Build Automation experience.
- Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Automotive Service Industry domain knowledge.
- Call Center Operations domain knowledge.
- Flexible and team-oriented; able to work independently and as a team member.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- May be required to work nights/weekends as needed.
