Software Engineer - Level 2 (Top Secret)
Job Description
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Software Engineer - Level 2 to join an Agile Scrum team focused on delivering secure, rapidly deployable software for a complex space system. This onsite role in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania supports mission capability through iterative development and continuous delivery, with emphasis on adaptive planning, sensor optimization, and evolving space priorities.
Responsibilities
- Generate and simulate operational level plans to explore feasible capabilities and defense of the space domain in future scenarios.
- Dynamically optimize both terrestrial and space-based sensors to provide comprehensive space domain awareness.
- Strategically optimize the placement and maneuvering of satellite constellations to satisfy multiple, evolving priorities.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- Current Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
- This position is located at a facility that requires special access
- Experience developing software in Java, C++, JavaScript, or Python
- Experience with application containerization (Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Containerd) in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, OpenShift)
- Experience working in an Agile development environment, using tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Experience with CI/CD, deployment pipelines, automated build and configuration tools (GitLab, ArgoCD)

Work Schedules
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules to provide flexibility. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over five days, while others may be condensed. These options supplement our Paid Time Off benefits.
