Staff Engineer - Site Design

Kapur & Associates is seeking a Staff Engineer for Site Design to join its Downtown Milwaukee team. The role focuses on grading and utility design using Civil 3D, performed under the guidance of a Professional Engineer. This on-site, full-time position offers hands-on collaboration within the Site Design group on diverse civil projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and design of civil engineering projects.
• Perform grading and utility design using Civil 3D software.
• Collaborate with the Site Design team to develop project plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Conduct site visits and field inspections to gather data and assess project requirements.
• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Support the Professional Engineer (PE) in various engineering tasks and project management activities.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D software desired.
• Strong understanding of grading and utility design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a professional engineering setting.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant civil engineering experience.

Compensation

Salary: USD 60,000 - 80,000 per year
