Test Engineer I
Job Description
NEO Technology Solutions (NEOTech) in Chatsworth, CA is hiring a Test Engineer I to support product sustaining engineering activities across automated test equipment (ATE) and functional test stations. In this onsite role, you will partner with Customer Focus Teams (CFTs) to help define test requirements and provide engineering support that aligns with manufacturing production goals.
What you’ll do
- Follow ESD requirements and proper board handling, including applying Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling based on component sensitivity levels (MSL).
- Install and improve customer-specific functional test stations and programs for both customer furnished equipment and OnCore generated processes.
- Act as an extension of CFTs at the OnCore site to support manufacturing processes and customer requests based on input and execution in the factory.
- Expand and/or install custom functional and ATE board and system-level testers and programs.
- Program and maintain flying probe programs.
- Develop and maintain tester documentation and procedures, including maintaining and updating existing programs and ICT and functional test fixtures when needed.
- Support production staff in meeting monthly production goals.
- Perform failure analysis, replicate failures/complaints, troubleshoot to root cause, and run validation within failing populations.
- Recommend solutions and, when applicable, implement them.
- Contribute to sustaining engineering and tester capacity analysis, manufacturing failure data analysis, and improvement plan presentations.
- Support and follow all ISO standards related to OnCore’s Quality Management Systems (including quality, environment, health, safety, and security, as applicable).
- Support and follow all corporate and site 6S objectives.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
- 2+ years experience in a similar environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing test tools including Flying Probe, ICT, Boundary Scan, and functional test methodologies at both the board and system level.
- General knowledge of SMT and Box-Build manufacturing details and methodologies.
- Exposure to PCB layout principles and tools.
- Comfortable with CAD or PCB viewer tools.
- Understanding of common electronic manufacturing documentation (required).
- Effective use of common electronic manufacturing equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, power supplies, and PLD programmers, among others.

Compensation and benefits
Salary: USD 75,000 - 85,000 per year.
