VG Software Engineer 5

Probity Inc. is hiring a full stack software engineer to support a backend development team building middleware and backend services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy middleware and/or backend code for a production system
• Support backend development focused on middleware and backend services
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Spring Boot
• Collaborate with the team on integration work across backend systems and supporting services

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience using big data technologies such as SPARK or PYSPARK
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Solr or Elastic, including tasks such as:
  • Running an index
  • Spinning up a Solr cluster and loading an index onto the cluster
  • Making Solr/Elastic schema changes
• Demonstrated experience performing data quality analysis
• Demonstrated experience using Regular Expressions (RegEx)
• Demonstrated programming experience using Java, JavaScript, Bash, and Python
• Demonstrated experience working with several AWS services
• Demonstrated experience writing Java 8+ (upgrade to Java 17 planned later this year)
• Demonstrated experience using JIRA and GITHUB
• Demonstrated experience with Spring Boot and RESTful APIs
• Demonstrated experience working with Linux operating systems such as CENTOS
• Demonstrating experience designing, developing, and deploying middleware and/or backend code to a production system

Clearance Requirements

• Requires an ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
• To be considered, you must have an ACTIVE Clearance Level of Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
