Appian Software Engineer
Job Description
DMBA (Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators) is seeking an Appian Software Engineer to join its Platforms team. This hybrid role supports the design, development, deployment, and ongoing support of secure enterprise applications that serve healthcare administration, business operations, and process automation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using Appian and related technologies.
- Convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Build and maintain integrations connecting applications with APIs, databases, and other enterprise systems.
- Troubleshoot, enhance, and support existing applications.
- Participate in design reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
- Apply an AI-first mindset by using Appian and other AI tools to optimize output.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of software development experience.
- Experience with Appian or another low-code platform such as Pega, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Power Platform, or K2.
- Strong understanding of software development fundamentals and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Experience integrating applications using REST APIs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications
- Appian Associate Developer Certification.
