Job Description
The Broadband Plant Engineer will plan and design outside plant fiber infrastructure to support Bartlett Electric Cooperative's growing broadband network, contributing to planning and construction of large-scale fiber projects. This full-time role offers compensation at USD 36 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Create staking sheets and construction drawings, plus project documentation using Geographic Information Systems tools
- Develop material inventories, cost estimates, and project timelines
- Coordinate permitting activities including rights-of-way, easements, and road crossings
- Collaborate with construction crews and contractors to ensure quality and regulatory compliance
- Conduct field staking and maintain accurate fiber asset records
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum of five years of directly related experience
