Job Description

The Chief Engineer - Power Electronics and Electrified Powertrain leads architecture and delivery of advanced power electronics across traction inverters, motor drives, on-board chargers, and HV/LV DC/DC platforms, owning the system-level technical direction from concept through production-ready hardware in safety-critical electrified systems.

Location: Farmington, MI (onsite)

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the design and delivery of cutting-edge power electronics across traction inverters, motor drives, on-board chargers, and HV/LV DC/DC platforms.
  • Own the end-to-end system-level technical direction from initial concept through production-ready hardware in safety-critical electrified systems.
  • Act as the final technical authority for power electronics architectures, controls, functional safety, and EMC.
  • Provide governance across multiple programs running concurrently.
  • Combine hands-on engineering credibility with customer-facing leadership, supporting RFQs, technical proposals, and strategic technology roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience delivering high-voltage, high-power power electronics into production.
  • Deep expertise in SiC, IGBT, and GaN-based systems.
  • Proven track record of leading complex, multidisciplinary programs in regulated environments.
  • Strong judgment, technical gravitas, and the ability to influence OEM and Tier-1 stakeholders.
