Civil Design Engineer (P.E.) role based in Suffern, NY with hybrid work focused on land development projects.

Create and review detailed civil engineering deliverables, including schematics, system designs, and construction plans
Develop designs and documentation using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and other CAD tools
Manage project schedules and coordinate construction activities to support on-time delivery and quality
Perform construction management tasks such as site inspections, quality assurance, safety compliance, and progress reporting
Use ArcGIS and GIS-based tools to support land surveying, spatial analysis, and mapping for planning
Prepare construction estimates through detailed estimating and project budgeting
Handle technical writing for reports, specifications, and permit/regulatory documentation
Collaborate with geotechnical engineers on soil analysis and foundation design
Apply hydraulics modeling for water-related infrastructure projects using SWMM or HEC software
Complete water-related system design including water treatment, wastewater treatment, stormwater management (using SWMM), and pipeline projects
Conduct construction inspections to verify conformance with schematics, drawings, and safety protocols
Apply project management to oversee multiple phases from initial planning through execution

Bachelors/Masters degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer Licence (Required)
NY Professional Engineer licence is required; NJ PE is an advantage in addition to NY
5+ years of civil engineering experience (Required)
Experience working with and communicating with local townships
Experience tied to land development, including grading, subdivision, drainage, and water treatment/management
Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with excellent public speaking ability
Ability to pursue new contracts: attend client meetings, write proposals, and sign off drawings and plans

Location: Hybrid remote in Suffern, NY 10901

Compensation: USD 150,000 - 200,000 per year
