CNC Electrical and Controls Engineer

Role overview

Join our team as a CNC Electrical and Controls Engineer located in Enfield, CT 06082. Since 1983, CNC Engineering has been a leading FANUC control retrofit provider in North America and offers a range of machine tool automation solutions including FANUC Robot Machine Tending, 3D Hybrid Manufacturing, Additional Axes and Rotary Tables, and Renishaw Probe and Laser solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer FANUC CNC retrofit projects for grinders, turning centers, and machining centers.
• Develop ladder programs for FANUC CNCs.
• Create electrical schematics for machines and for new enclosures or components.
• Power up and debug retrofit packages both in house and on site.
• Provide hands-on customer training.
• Produce retrofit final documentation including system operation, maintenance, material lists, drawings, etc.
• Offer excellent customer phone support for retrofit customers.

Education and Experience

• 4-year bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a 2-year degree is preferred.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
• FANUC PMC or PLC Ladder Logic understanding and programming.
• AutoCAD or CAD software experience required.
• Experience with FANUC CNC technology is a plus.
• Experience with FANUC Robotics is a plus.

• Willingness to travel up to 25-35 percent of the time.
• Additional compensation will be provided when travel includes weekends.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
