This onsite role is based in Selma, TX, with a salary range of USD 100,000 to 140,000 per year. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering and a PE license, with at least eight years of experience. Responsibilities
- Provide a deep, up-to-date grasp of civil engineering principles across the range of factors impacting the organization.
- Apply experience to resolve key issues and unique conditions that arise on projects.
- Monitor evolving methods and industry developments relevant to the organization.
- Direct major projects or manage several complex projects with advanced features.
- Act as the Texas technical specialist for Construction Material Testing concepts and practices.
- Stay informed of new developments and requirements to propose program or application changes.
- Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments.
- Oversee multiple Construction Material Testing laboratories across Texas.
- Supervise engineers, scientists, technicians, and administrative personnel.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate documentation or activities for multiple major projects, or manage an entire program.
- Review operational procedures to ensure alignment with policies and performance metrics.
- Understand client needs and objectives and maintain active client interaction.
- Develop and strengthen client relationships.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities through client engagement.
- Serve as the Client Champion responsible for addressing all client needs.
- Oversee the financial aspects of CM Testing projects, including staffing and equipment.
- Identify and pursue opportunities with potential clients.
- Seek networking opportunities with potential clients and report results internally.
- Present to clients and prospective clients.
Requirements
- BS degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- PE license required
- Excellent writing, organizational, and communications skills
- Personable with the ability to communicate with clients and staff at all levels
- Requires critical thinking and analysis; physical demands include frequent sitting, standing, walking, and bending; ability to work in all weather conditions; and driving to project sites
