Electrical Component Engineer / Electrical Engineer Sr.
Job Description
Electrical Component Engineer on Lockheed Martin Space's FBM program, onsite in Englewood, CO, leads Electrical/EEE Parts engineering and parts management, evaluating new technologies, and coordinating with design, manufacturing, test, and suppliers to meet harsh-environment requirements.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to Electrical / Electronic / Electromechanical (EEE) Parts Engineering tasks spanning hardware design, fabrication, and testing
- Engage in selecting, qualifying, testing, and performing failure analysis on EEE parts
- Develop technical and progress reports, draft specifications, assess suppliers, and review test data
- Coordinate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement / Supply Chain teams
- Work on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, ICs, hybrids, crystals and oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, and thermistors
- Travel and collaborate with suppliers and government agencies to ensure component selections meet quality and performance requirements
Requirements
- Background in design, analysis, or construction of electrical parts and circuits, including operation of relays, hybrids, ICs, transistors, diodes, and capacitors
- Understanding of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials, and processes used in EEE parts
- Experience reviewing engineering drawings or specifications and guiding design and test teams
- Willingness and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance; US citizenship required

- Pay Rate: The annual base salary range is $85,500 - $150,765 in certain states; location-based adjustments apply for other locations
