Electrical Engineer

GMC Global Solutions is hiring a Jr. Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems across projects in Indiana. Based in West Lafayette, IN on-site, this role combines electrical engineering delivery with coordination across mechanical, software, and project teams, alongside Korean communication requirements.

Role Summary

This position focuses on electrical design and system integration, including automation, testing and QA, and project execution from early specifications through compliance with required standards. You will also be involved in diagnostic testing to evaluate electrical components and resolve system defects as projects progress.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and load flow calculations for power distribution and control systems.
• Design diagnostic testing methods to assess electrical components and troubleshoot system defects.
• Help ensure projects finish on time and within budget, including writing specifications used to solicit and oversee electrical contractors.
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers to support integrated project delivery.
• Enforce manufacturing and construction standards in alignment with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline (mechanical engineering in the US or a related field is also acceptable).
• Bilingual English and Korean.
• Open to entry-level and experienced candidates.
• OPT applicants are welcome.

• Proficiency with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or MATLAB, with experience in grid modeling or circuit simulation.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and cross-disciplinary communication skills.

Compensation & Work Location

• Location: Indiana, USA (in-person), West Lafayette, IN.
• Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (also listed as $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year).
• Negotiation: Salary is negotiable based on experience.
