Onsite in Groton, CT, this senior engineering role supports multidisciplinary teams designing, building, maintaining, and certifying ship control system trainers and the bridge indication and communication system for safe submarine operations.
Overview
Engineers across multiple disciplines support a multidisciplinary team responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and certifying ship control system trainers and the bridge indication and communication for safe operation of US submarines. The role involves supporting systems and component engineering efforts to conceptualize and develop complex integrated electronics systems.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to ongoing system and component development and integration with emphasis on defining, understanding, and satisfying requirements
- Perform systems engineering, analysis and modeling
- Deliver concept, production, integration and support engineering for various electrical and electronic hardware components
- Engage in circuit design, component selection, electronics packaging, procurement, documentation, prototyping, troubleshooting and qualification
- Develop test plans, execute tests and analyze results
- Create and maintain required test environments
- Integrate software and hardware and conduct formal verification
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related Engineering field
- 5+ years of professional related engineering experience
- Ability to obtain or maintain a DoD Secret level clearance
