HVAC Applications & Technical Support Engineer

Messana Hydronic Technologies is seeking an Applications and Technical Support Engineer who will guide customers through technical product selections and coordinate projects for hydronic heating and cooling systems. This onsite position in Soquel, California emphasizes technical product support, installer assistance, and cross-functional collaboration with sales, operations, software, and engineering teams. The role offers a salary range of $75,000 to $120,000 per year and requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the sales team with selecting appropriate technical products, reviewing system layouts, and coordinating projects.
• Collaborate with external mechanical engineering firms to support design development and finalize drawings and submittals.
• Support installers, contractors, engineers, architects, and customers through design, delivery, installation, and commissioning phases.
• Aid in configuring and deploying Messana control solutions for hydronic heating and cooling systems.
• Prepare and review technical documents such as submittals, installation manuals, project notes, and brochures.
• Deliver training and technical support to customers on Messana products and systems.
• Align internal teams by communicating project requirements across sales, operations, software, and engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience
• 0–4 years of relevant experience in HVAC, hydronics, construction, controls, technical support, or project coordination
• Strong organizational, time-management, and project coordination capabilities
• Comfortable collaborating with installers, engineers, architects, contractors, and customers
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to diverse audiences
• Ability to travel domestically as needed
