Hydraulics Engineer
Job Description
This Hydraulics Engineer role focuses on drainage design, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, and construction documentation for civil projects, utilizing AutoCAD and Civil3D, with an onsite location in Indianapolis, IN.
Responsibilities
- Develop drainage design plans for a range of civil engineering projects
- Perform drainage analysis and storm sewer modeling using Autodesk Storm & Sanitary Analysis (SSA) or equivalent software
- Carry out hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for diverse civil projects
- Produce construction drawings and details with AutoCAD and Civil3D
- Create design calculations and quantity estimates
- Prepare reports and other project documentation
- Conduct site visits and inspections
- Execute additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering
- 4 - 7 years of experience, minimum
- Willingness to work on a variety of project types
- Ability to visit and safely traverse project sites and comply with all applicable safety codes and requirements
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (Indiana preferred) or eligibility to sit for the PE exam within one year
