Hydraulics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop drainage design plans for a range of civil engineering projects.
• Perform drainage analyses and storm sewer modeling using Autodesk Storm & Sanitary Analysis (SSA) or an equivalent tool.
• Carry out hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for diverse civil engineering projects.
• Create construction plans and details with AutoCAD and Civil3D.
• Prepare design calculations and quantity estimates.
• Compile reports and other documentation.
• Conduct site visits and inspections.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering is required.
• 4 to 7 years of experience, minimum.
• Willingness to work on a variety of project types.
• Ability to visit and safely traverse project sites and comply with all applicable safety codes and requirements.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred in Indiana, or candidate eligible to take the PE exam within one year.

Preferred Experience

• INDOT transportation experience.
• AutoCAD.
• Civil3D.
• Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.

Compensation

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
