GSG Consultants, Inc. invites a Hydraulic Engineer to join our team in Schaumburg, IL. The role focuses on water and wastewater projects, applying hydraulic modeling, water treatment knowledge, and environmental regulation understanding to design, analyze, and optimize infrastructure, all aligned with sustainable development and environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities

Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis for a range of project improvements.
Prepare hydraulic and hydrologic reports.
Evaluate and implement stormwater management strategies for detention and related facilities.
Model floodplains to support risk assessment and design decisions.
Create and review technical specifications for projects.
Develop construction cost estimates.
Prepare reports, technical memos, and design studies.
Undertake other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Proven experience with hydraulic modeling software such as SWMM or HEC-HMS.
Strong knowledge of water resources management, water treatment processes, and wastewater treatment systems.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS or GIS platforms for drafting and spatial analysis.
Ability to interpret geotechnical data and apply geotechnical engineering principles within hydraulic contexts.
2-4 years of related experience.
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is required.

Salary

Compensation ranges from USD 70,000 to USD 95,000 per year.

Location and Work Arrangement

Location: Schaumburg, Illinois. This is an onsite, in-person position.
