Job Description

TerraClear is seeking a Jr Software Development / Tech Support Engineer to help build, debug, and support full-stack real-time mapping solutions. This hybrid role is based out of the Issaquah, WA headquarters and includes application development across web, iOS, Android, and Linux, along with technical support for real-time image processing in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Build, debug, and support real-time actionable mapping solutions with reliability, innovation, and high performance
  • Support real-time in-field image edge processing
  • Design, implement, and deploy front-end elements, REST-based back-end services, and database design schemas across TerraClear’s application stack
  • Collaborate with Product Management and the Software Engineering team to review application functionality requirements and interface design
  • Keep the application suite current with major third-party dependency releases and current design and implementation practices
  • Work in an Agile environment to prioritize tasks and deliver technical milestones on schedule

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in a commercial product environment
  • BS or MS in Software Engineering, CS, or a related field, or commensurate work experience
  • Knowledge of computer science fundamentals
  • Knowledge of how to leverage GenAI tools to expedite design, development, and debugging of commercial-quality software applications
  • Knowledge of REST-based backend services
  • Knowledge of Node JS and Angular/React JS/TypeScript
  • Knowledge of MVC architecture
  • Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and an ability to work effectively in a team
  • Willingness to travel to field offices and testing areas

Technologies

Compensation and Location

  • Location: Issaquah, WA (hybrid), based out of headquarters
  • Salary: USD 80,000 - 125,000 per year
  • Minimum experience: 1 years
