Job Description

Entegris is seeking a Lead, Project Engineer for its New Product Development team in Decatur, TX (onsite). In this role, you will advance new processes and products from early concept through pilot, including prototype development, cross-functional delivery, and project execution planning.

Role Overview

The Lead Project Engineer supports New Product Development by transforming customer inputs into prototype models, overseeing prototype manufacture for testing and validation, and leading cross-functional project work from concept through pilot. The position also supports knowledge sharing and collaboration across internal teams and external customer partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert customer inputs into models and prototypes, and manage prototype manufacture for testing and validation.
  • Own the project schedule across the lifecycle from Concept and Feasibility through Pilot, and lead a cross-functional team managing each step.
  • Identify intellectual property (IP) opportunities within the NPD scope; coordinate with the IP committee to advance new IP and assess current technologies in the portfolio.
  • Interact with corporate personnel at all levels and develop and maintain broad global internal and external networks.
  • Initiate engagement with external customers to explore data collection and sharing opportunities.
  • Create project plans and track progress for larger initiatives (for example, break through or large platform projects).
  • Develop budgets and monitor spending for new projects and assignments.
  • Anticipate issues proactively and address them across technology, schedule, and cost.
  • Communicate project progress and status through documents, notes, and presentations.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, chemical engineering, or a similar degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • MS in a similar degree is acceptable in combination with experience.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in a high-tech industry such as semiconductor, aerospace, or similar fields.
  • Proven ability to work as a team player with skill in building and maintaining internal and external relationships.
  • Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project.

Preferred / Desirable Skills

  • Experience with DOE methodologies/tools (desirable).
  • Proficiency with Stage/Gated processes for managing New Product Introductions (desirable).
  • Experience with Solidworks (desirable).
  • Materials understanding (desirable).
  • FEA modeling experience (desirable).

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: USD 119,500 - 149,000 per year, based on candidate skills for the role.
