Licensed Civil Design Engineer (PE) – Land Development

Selecta One is seeking a Licensed Civil Design Engineer (PE) to lead the technical design and project management for residential subdivisions, multifamily, and commercial or industrial sites. This on-site role in Murfreesboro, TN sits within an in-house Civil Engineering team and involves direct interaction with clients and government authorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform drainage analyses (hydrology and hydraulics), design detention ponds, and size storm sewer systems
• Design water distribution and sanitary sewer systems
• Create concept plans and civil layouts for subdivisions, multifamily, and commercial/industrial projects
• Design infrastructure including storm sewer, roadways, water, and sanitary sewer networks
• Develop stormwater management plans, low impact development strategies (LID), SWPPP, and erosion/sediment control plans
• Produce plans in collaboration with in-house CAD technicians
• Manage municipal and governmental approval processes
• Oversee construction administration duties such as shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs
• Represent projects at Planning Commission and City Council meetings
• Draft cost proposals and support business development efforts

Requirements

• Active Professional Engineer license in Tennessee, or the ability to obtain TN reciprocity within 60 to 90 days (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 5+ years of civil/site engineering experience in land development, subdivision design, or municipal infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of stormwater, SWPPP, LID, and erosion control
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interactions with clients and government entities
