Job Description
Join a small, client-focused design team in Watertown, NY, where civil engineering projects span land planning, site development, roadways, and utility infrastructure. The position is non-exempt, with a pay range of $36.00 to $48.00 per hour, and relocation to Watertown before starting is required. Expect 40 to 50 hours per week.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Civil Engineering team on land planning, site development, roadway and utility infrastructure projects
- Perform construction inspections
- Prepare AutoCAD drawings
- Design project components from concept through completion
- Prepare preliminary design markups
- Conduct design calculations
- Prepare technical reports
- Participate in client meetings
- Present at board meetings
- Manage projects under the guidance of a principal
- Travel to field locations as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- Six to twelve years of qualifying civil engineering design experience
- Strong technical background in civil engineering
- Experience developing proposals to secure future work
- Proven experience in site design, subdivision and local road roadway design, drainage analysis and design, and development of plans, specifications and cost estimates
- Ability to produce contract documents and demonstrated project management experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with team members and clients
- Ability to meet project demands and deadlines
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Relocation to Watertown, NY before starting work is required
- Ability to commute to Watertown, NY 13601
