Licensed Electrical Engineer (PE) - Building Systems
Job Description
Licensed Electrical Engineer (PE) to lead electrical design for commercial and institutional projects in Harlingen, TX, with Texas PE eligibility and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and grounding for building projects.
- Perform load calculations and electrical studies to validate design choices.
- Coordinate with mechanical and plumbing teams to integrate building systems.
- Review submittals and respond to RFIs to maintain design momentum.
- Participate in site visits and provide construction support as projects progress.
- Attend internal and external electrical meetings to align on project goals.
- Prepare construction documents and related drawings for permitting and construction.
- Stamp and seal drawings as required by regulatory guidelines and project needs.
Requirements
- Active Texas PE license or the ability to obtain it immediately.
- 5-10+ years of experience working with building systems.
- Strong knowledge of the NEC and IECC codes and standards.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
