Ziply Fiber is seeking an Outside Plant Engineer to design and manage local outside plant engineering in Everett, WA (onsite).

Lead the engineering design for all local outside plant projects.
Provide engineering design and activity support for ZFB Build projects.
Proactively assess existing outside plant facilities to identify upgrades and enhancements.
Coordinate with utility providers to integrate joint trench solutions in project design and construction.
Participate in preconstruction meetings for project designs.
Serve as frontline project manager for construction activities related to outside plant.
Coordinate with state, county, city and national indices to obtain information on planned growth and project changes.
Collaborate with peers and other departments to ensure coordinated project planning.
Obtain required permits from State, DNR, City, County and Township authorities.
Maintain and review rights of way and easements for releases.
Respond to DORs as required.
Maintain accurate cable records and update documentation.
Update records to reflect as-built drawings.
Prepare cost estimates for BDTs.
Assist in the annual budget development process.
Support sales, marketing, operations and regulatory teams as needed.
Perform other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization.

High school diploma or GED.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an outside plant position.
Outside plant construction project management experience and inventory management experience.
Experience in ROW, private easement and permitting with local, state, and federal entities.
Working knowledge of outside plant design, including cable count layouts and capacity planning.
Valid State Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
Pre-employment drug screening completion.
