Role overview
As a Fanuc focused Robotics Engineer, you will configure robot systems, develop offline programs, run simulations, and integrate vision solutions. You will lead robotics projects and, where applicable, mentor colleagues in the department. The role requires frequent travel to client sites to implement and validate automation programs.
Responsibilities
- Teach TCPs, frames, loads, and DCS safety configurations
- Configure robot I/O and communications
- Set up and configure dispense process equipment for paint shop and general assembly applications
- Set up and configure vision equipment, including robot-mounted and floor-mounted systems
- Develop offline programs (OLPs)
- Develop simulations across multiple platforms for internal and external process validations
- Leverage cycle time improvement initiatives to optimize robot applications
- Confirm robot models
- Lead robotics projects
- Mentor colleagues in the department as applicable
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, an associate degree in engineering, or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of experience programming robots and launching robot systems
- At least 3 years of experience commissioning from scratch to customer standards
- Automotive industry experience is preferred
