Job Description
Senior Electrical Design Engineer role at Interface Engineering, an employee-owned firm, leading MEP electrical design across Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Biotech, Transportation and more from a hybrid Washington, DC environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex MEP electrical design projects across multiple sectors including healthcare, education, commercial, biotech, transportation, and more.
- Create innovative and sophisticated electrical systems aligned with project goals.
- Consult with clients to present concepts, review progress, and refine design deliverables.
- Guide and mentor design staff and junior engineers to ensure quality outcomes.
- Support overall project management efforts for MEP team leaders to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.
Requirements
- BSEE degree required.
- 7+ years of experience in MEP design or consulting.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Experience leading teams and managing projects in the MEP space.
- Healthcare building design experience with HCAI compliance.
- High-energy client service orientation with strong communication skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building codes and standards.
- Thorough understanding of design systems for electrical engineering.
