Job Description

Lead design and development of electrical systems for diverse projects, providing technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design and execution of electrical engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring adherence to industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
  • Offer expert guidance on electrical system design, covering power distribution, lighting, control systems, and renewable energy solutions.
  • Manage a project-based or initiative-driven team of designers and staff.
  • Engage with clients to capture requirements, present technical solutions, and maintain client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses of electrical systems to optimize performance, efficiency, and safety.
  • Ensure designs comply with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations; may serve as Engineer of Record on assigned projects.
  • Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, monitor progress, and adjust plans as needed.
  • Implement quality control processes to uphold high standards for electrical system design and documentation.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating innovative approaches into project designs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, California required.
  • 7 to 10 years of progressive electrical engineering experience with a proven track record of project leadership.
  • Proficiency with electrical design software and simulation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in project management and budgeting is a plus.
