In this role, you will lead the design and development of electrical systems for a diverse project portfolio, applying your extensive knowledge to provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and ensure successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Direct the design and execution of electrical engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
- Technical Expertise: Offer expert guidance on electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and renewable energy solutions.
- Team Management: Supervise a team of designers and staff on a project basis or as needed.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand needs, present technical solutions, and maintain client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Design and Analysis: Perform electrical system calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimize performance, efficiency, and safety.
- Code Compliance: Ensure designs meet local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations; may serve as Engineer of Record for assigned projects.
- Budget and Schedule Management: Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, tracking progress and making adjustments as required.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to maintain high standards in electrical design and documentation.
- Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating innovative solutions into project designs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required in California.
- 7 to 10 years of progressive electrical engineering experience with a proven track record in project leadership.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in project management and budgeting is a plus.
- Construction Industry experience preferred with at least 5 years.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $130,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year, depending on experience
