Senior Electrical Engineer

Overview

Schetter Electric LLC has operated as an electrical contractor in the Sacramento, California area since 1959. In this role, you will lead the design and development of electrical systems for a diverse project portfolio, applying your extensive knowledge to provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and ensure successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Direct the design and execution of electrical engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
• Technical Expertise: Offer expert guidance on electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and renewable energy solutions.
• Team Management: Supervise a team of designers and staff on a project basis or as needed.
• Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand needs, present technical solutions, and maintain client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Design and Analysis: Perform electrical system calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimize performance, efficiency, and safety.
• Code Compliance: Ensure designs meet local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations; may serve as Engineer of Record for assigned projects.
• Budget and Schedule Management: Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, tracking progress and making adjustments as required.
• Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to maintain high standards in electrical design and documentation.
• Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating innovative solutions into project designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required in California.
• 7 to 10 years of progressive electrical engineering experience with a proven track record in project leadership.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience in project management and budgeting is a plus.
• Construction Industry experience preferred with at least 5 years.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $130,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year, depending on experience
