Senior Electrical Engineer - Mission Critical Facilities

BRUNS-PAK, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design of electrical systems for Data Centers and Mission Critical Facilities, with a focus on reliability and redundancy of power infrastructure. This is an on-site role based in Edison, New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Plan and engineer electrical systems for Data Center facilities to ensure reliability, redundancy, and efficiency.
• Produce design and documentation using AutoCAD, with Revit experience considered a plus.
• Apply broad engineering knowledge to a range of assignments within related fields.
• Make informed, independent decisions on engineering methods and techniques.
• Consult with a supervisor on critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters, seeking guidance when needed.
• Develop test procedures and provide commissioning support for electrical equipment.
• Prepare comprehensive technical specifications.

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing electrical systems for Data Center facilities.
• Strong knowledge of generators, switchgear, UPS systems, transformers, PDUs, and other mission critical equipment.
• Ability to integrate reliability and redundancy into electrical designs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering principles to diverse assignments.
• Effective communication of technical solutions to diverse audiences, both oral and written.

Job Description

BRUNS-PAK is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong track record in sizing and designing electrical services, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, transformers, PDUs, and related mission critical equipment. The role requires embedding reliability and redundancy into comprehensive electrical designs for data center facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably within Data Center facilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D is essential; experience with Revit is a plus.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) designation is usually required for this senior level position.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Edison, NJ. Normal hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with project-related travel.

Job Type

Full-time on-site in Edison, NJ.

Compensation

Salary range is USD 120,000 - 158,000 per year.

Location and Relocation

Ability to commute to Edison, NJ 08817 is required. Relocation to Edison, NJ 08817 is required prior to starting work.
