Job Description

Ardurra Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Highway Engineer to join its Transportation team and lead the design of sophisticated roadway projects. This role is based onsite in Dallas, TX, with potential relocation to our Florida offices in Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Tallahassee, or West Palm Beach, supported by relocation assistance. The engineer will oversee roadway geometry work and the production of plans, specifications, and estimates, guiding projects from concept through delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the process design for multi-discipline transportation initiatives, evaluating alternatives, conducting studies and design calculations, and performing both preliminary and detailed design.
  • Provide technical guidance to ensure alignment with design intent, project scope, and applicable state and federal design criteria and standards.
  • Produce contract plans and prepare technical specifications and cost estimates.
  • Support project execution and delivery, including defining project scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Lead day-to-day activities and coordinate engineers, designers, and technicians assigned to the project.
  • Conduct quality control on engineering deliverables such as design calculations, models, drawings, reports, specifications, and estimates.
  • Contribute to marketing and business development efforts.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with clients, discipline leads, subconsultants, regulatory agencies, and utility companies.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 10+ years of post-licensure experience in transportation design.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer, with the ability to train and supervise the technical work of engineers, designers, and technicians.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Experience preparing final design plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, time-management, and organizational abilities.
