Job Description

RIBCRAFT USA, LLC is seeking a Senior Naval Architect / Marine Engineer to lead the design and engineering efforts across its current and future RIB projects from the Marblehead, MA site. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this onsite role manages a small engineering team and acts as the technical project manager, guiding feasibility studies, design reviews, and production support. The position offers a salary range of USD 100,000 - 130,000 per yearly and is based onsite in Marblehead, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a 2-3 person engineering team with a mix of experience levels, overseeing workloads that include new build design, construction support, existing product enhancements, and testing programs
  • Provide technical expertise in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Production Design, and Lamination/Infusion to senior leadership and production management
  • Apply knowledge of ABYC, USCG, and US Navy small craft requirements
  • Develop, design, and manage production-ready drawings
  • Contribute to feasibility studies for new RIBCRAFT work and assist in technically-focused responses to future bids
  • Develop and track engineering change orders as needed
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for all subcontractors and customers
  • Lead design reviews as required and ensure compliance with job specifications
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new personnel as needed

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and/or Ocean Engineering with 7+ years of field experience
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and people management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and contribute as needed
  • Ability to recognize, delegate, and triage tasks to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in setting and maintaining project schedules for self and the engineering team
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks, Rhino3D, and AutoCAD
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
